Dennis T.
Walsh
Jun 10, 1935 — May 14, 2025
Ellisville
Dennis T. Walsh passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Husband of the late Connie Walsh (nee Kelly), father of Shannon Krakowski (John) and Erin Walsh (Brien Dover). Grandfather of Daniel Krakowski (Katie Keller). Son of the late Francis and Virginia Walsh.
Born in St. Louis on June 10, 1935, he was raised in South City and graduated from McBride High School. In the late 1950s, he served in the United States Army, 23rd Engineer Battalion, 3rd Armored Division, 23rd Engineer Battalion, stationed in Hanau, Germany. During and just after serving, he traveled Germany and the European continent extensively. He recently returned to Europe for three extended solo trips while in his 80s in 2019, 2022, and 2024, particularly enjoying castles, food and Christmas markets.
Denny was a retired pipefitter and Saint Louis County Plumbing Inspector, and proud member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 562. He enjoyed travel, deer hunting, and fishing, but particularly loved tournament fishing with his union brothers. He placed in the top 10 boats in his last tournament, just the weekend prior to his passing.
Denny had a gift for being able to talk to anyone and make friends anywhere - if you knew him, you probably have a story. He loved his friends and his family and never let anything get in the way of living life as he wanted and having fun. Denny will be greatly missed.
