Edward Robert Knop, 98, died peacefully on April 21. Born in St. Louis on February 20, 1927. He is preceded by his wife, Helen Holmberg Knop, and his daughter Debbie Stowe. He is survived by his sons Paul (Carol) and Robert (Andrea); 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Raised in St. Louis, Ed graduated from McBride High School when he met his Helen. After serving in the Army during the final years of WW2, he reunited with Helen and graduated from St. Louis University and then married. Ed began his career at Hussmann Corporation, retiring as President of Finance. Ed loved fishing, the St. Louis Billikens basketball, and Cardinals baseball.  Ed and Helen valued family and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services: Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Rd, Ballwin, on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at Ascension Catholic Church, 230 Santa Maria Dr., Chesterfield on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
