Springfield
Amy Elizabeth Rich passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 47. She was born on May 24, 1979 in Springfield, MO to Steven and Julie (Neely) Rich.
Amy grew up in Springfield, attending Springfield Lutheran School for grade school, and after her family's move, she graduated from Logan-Rogersville High School. She attended Drury University, earning her bachelor's degree in psychology. Amy had several post college jobs that she enjoyed, including working for the Community Partnership of the Ozarks and at her father's mill, Crescent Feed Company.
Amy will be remembered for her generous spirit, her wry sense of humor, her kindness, and her ability to listen.
Throughout her childhood, Amy showed Arabian and Saddlebred horses. Her favorite horse was Kauzin a Komotion (KK), who she showed on a national level, winning many awards. Some of her favorite memories from that time were with the people she met at Chrishan Park, the barn where she stabled KK.
Amy was also a huge football fan, traveling to Chiefs and Texas Longhorn games with her family. She always watched the games and knew the latest scores. She also loved spending time at her lake cabin on Table Rock, always taking her beloved dogs.
Amy had a quiet courage, an unwavering faith, and a resilience to her as she faced many challenges related to chronic medical conditions in the last several years.
Amy is survived by her sister Emily Rich Freeman and niece Aria Freeman. She was preceded in death by her father Steven Bracken Rich, her mother Julie Neely Rich, and grandparents John Robert Neely and Kathryn Dunn Neely and Charles Benjamin Rich and Jo Ann Bracken Rich.
