Our beloved mother, Ann R. Fischer, passed away on August 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 26, 1935, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to Herman and Hazel Kreger.

Ann is preceded in death by her beloved husbands Fritz (Frederick) Fischer (d.1989) and Fred (Frederick) Oberhaus (d. 2025) and her parents Herman and Hazel Kreger.

Ann's life was her family and her faith. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Church, Chesterfield, Missouri. Prior to moving to St. Louis Missouri with her husband Fritz, Ann was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church in Toledo, Ohio.

Ann was a paralegal at Kopsky & Heck, LLC prior to her retirement at age 72. Ann had been an active senior (less so in recent years) and enjoyed bridge, bowling, reading, dinner at her favorite restaurant (Gianfabio's Italian Restaurant), a cold martini and a great happy hour. Ann cherished being with her family which also included her devoted granddog Bruce.

Ann truly loved the library and was proud to be a long time Friend of St. Louis County Library Foundation.

Ann is survived by her children, Kimberly and Rick, grandchildren Emilee and Trey, her sister, Peggy Parker, brother Bobby Kreger, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on August 14, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date in St. Louis, Missouri.
