Arthur Max
Reusch Jr.
Apr 29, 1951 — Dec 27, 2025
Ballwin
Reusch, Arthur Max, Jr, 74, of Ballwin, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, following a prolonged illness.
Max was born on April 29, 1951, in Columbia, Missouri to Arthur and Jeannette (nee Hof) Reusch. Max graduated from Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and entered the Navy for a four-year tour in Vietnam, based out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Upon his return home, Max worked for FMC. On April 15, 1978, Max married Diane Dietrich at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and they had two daughters. Max completed college at the University of Iowa with a degree in accounting. In 1984, Max's family moved to St. Louis, Missouri and Max worked for General Dynamics, then McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. He completed his master's degree in international business from Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Missouri. During his years in international contracting, he visited all but two continents: South America and Antarctica. He enjoyed spending time in other countries and liked the scenery and people of Malaysia and Singapore, and the countless rugs and other mementoes from the Mid East.
Max is survived by his wife of 47 years, Diane; two daughters, Lindsay Robinson and Jessica Orso both of St. Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren; one brother, Al (Evie) Reusch of Macomb, Illinois; one brother-in-law, Randy Limkemann of East Lyme, Connecticut; and aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters and brother-in-law, Jolynn Limkemann and Jenny and Kerry Ferguson; and both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Max enjoyed taking family vacations with his and his cousins' families, especially Long Lake, Minnesota, Canada, and Maui, Hawaii. His hobbies over the years included coaching girls basketball, golfing, fishing, boating, swimming, and working out at the gym. Very social, Max loved meeting new people and spending time with his friends and relatives. An avid baseball, basketball, football, and hockey fan, he enjoyed watching everything from kids plays, concerts, and sports to college and professional teams.
Special thanks to the dedicated nurses and caregivers at Delmar Gardens Chesterfield and Pathways Hospice for their exceptional support and gentle care during Max's final days.
