Obituary

Barbara A. Richardson, beloved daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and dear friend, peacefully left us Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the age of 77.

Known for her record-keeping skills and her green-thumb, Barb spent much of her time tending to the flowers in her living room "greenhouse" and out in her yard. She was always the 'chauffeur' - driving her kids, grandkids, and Mom wherever they needed. She was an avid bowler in her younger years, could pack any container like nobody's business, locate bargains by leaps and bounds, appreciate a jigsaw puzzle, took on sewing projects (e.g., dance costumes, original princess dresses, altering prom dresses, hemming dress pants, and even chair cushions), and delight in bingo on Sundays in the company of her mother and many friends. She provided childcare for a number of her grandchildren and later, loved attending their sporting events or school programs, taking them clothes shopping, and playing cards or games via an app on her phone. Barb ('Grandma Barbie') approached everything she did with a "take-care-of-family" mentality and many were considered family.

Beyond her professional successes working inventory at Chevron Chemical Company, part-time Tupperware salesperson, or chauffeur for Show-Me Limousine, Barb's true legacy is the family and loved ones she leaves behind. She taught us, though her plantcare, that growth cannot be rushed and nurturing is necessary.

Barb is survived by her mother, Jane, her husband, Al, her siblings, Steve (Patty), Trish, Jan, her daughters, Amy (Keith) and Cherie (Chris), her step-children, Danny, Gary, Joe (Melissa) and Jennifer (David), her grandchildren, Tanner, Melissa, Nicholas (Katherine), Sabrina, her step-grandchildren, Christopher, Angelina (Micah), Tristan, Damian, Ariana, Ashton, Ayden, her nieces, Rachel (David) and Emily (Ben), and her great-nephews and niece, Max, Ellie, Cooper.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all who were part of her life.
