Benjamin Franklin
Fuller Iii
Jul 15, 1935 — Oct 1, 2025
Ellisville
Benjamin Franklin Fuller III, died on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the age of 90. Born in Dyersburg, Tennessee, Ben was the cherished son of the late Benjamin and Gladys (nee Park) Fuller. He was a devoted husband to the late Janie Theresa (nee Dionne) Fuller, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage, raising three children together: Greg (Julia) Fuller, Teri Wipfler, and Kyle (Lindsey) Fuller. Ben was also the proud grandparent to five grandchildren: Elise, Wesley, Naomi, Hayden, and Henley. Additionally, he was brother and friend to the late Billy Joe (Kathleen) Fuller, brother-in-law to Suzanne (Bobby) Brammer, and uncle to Kevin Fuller, Kirk (Amy) Brammer, and Keli (Ricky) Lanclos.
Ben proudly served in the Marine Corps and after graduating from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, he embarked on a distinguished 32-year career at AT&T/Southwestern Bell, where he rose from a first-line manager to Assistant Vice President of Human Resources. A passionate sports enthusiast, Ben particularly enjoyed golf and fishing and spent many Sundays watching football with his neighborhood friends during the 1970s. He retired early in 1991 and moved to Texas, where the year-round warmth allowed him to indulge in his love for golf. He and Janie led a life full of love, surrounded by their family and friends.
Throughout his life, Ben was known for his sociable nature and his ability to make friends wherever he went, be it coworkers, neighbors, restaurant staff, or the residents and staff at Meramec Bluffs, where he spent the last 18 months in Assisted Living. His encouraging, professional, and caring demeanor left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
