Obituary

Main, Brandon Alexander (23) of Manchester, Missouri, passed away, Monday, February 5, 2018 after a choking incident on January 30, 2018.
He was born in Kirksville, Missouri on March 10, 1994. Brandon attended Hanna Woods Elementary, Parkway Southwest Middle and Parkway South High School. He enjoyed little league baseball at Ballwin Athletic Association and Cub Scouts at St. Mark Pack 631. He played high school football and lacrosse. He became an Eagle Scout through Troop 631 in 2012. Brandon graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2016. He loved cheering on the "Hogs", hiking in Castlewood State Park, skiing in Colorado, traveling and seeing the world, cooking and spending time with his family. He was stricken with Transverse Myelitis causing his quadriplegia on 12/23/2016 and fought to regain independence. He inspired thousands of individuals to live each day to the fullest and fight for their dreams. Since his injury, Brandon loved working out with DASA (Disabled Athlete Sports Association), Spartan Wheelchair Rugby and Paraquad. Brandon made the ultimate sacrifice to donate his organs: his liver, kidneys, corneas, skin, bone and tendons were donated to help local recipients.

Brandon was preceded in death by his Grandpa Tony Sevem in 2004. Grandpa Tony was waiting to welcome him into the gates of Heaven.

Brandon leaves behind his Mother, Nina (Sevem) Hudson, Father, Chris Main, Step-Dad Doug Hudson, Brothers Ryan Main, Grant Hudson, Ethan Main, Brennan Main, Sebastian Main and Sister Genevieve Main. Grandparents: Judy Sevem, Dan and Roberta Hudson, Donet & Myrna Main. Aunts: Annie Sevem, Shelley (Sean) Axtetter, Denise (JD) Wade, and Laura (Peter) Rhee.

Countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends loved him dearly. Our lives will never be the same without his presence.

Life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight. ~Rossiter Worthington Raymond

The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God. ~Quoted in The Angels' Little Instruction Book by Eileen Elias Freeman, 1994
