Brenda Joyce Burns (nee Polk), entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Beloved wife of Dan Burns of 58 years.  Loving mother of Dana (Mike) Lee, Rebecca (Rob) Stuart and Amanda (Josh) Jaworowski.  Proud Mimi of Alex (Ashlyn), Sydney (Nick), Morgan (Harley), Carter (Jaeden), Jordan (Jalen), Addison, Jensyn, Grace, Tori, Avery, Emersyn, Daniel, Levi, Asher, Gabe, and Lydia.  Dearest great grandmother "Gigi" of Lucy, Xander, Maverick, Mila, Hadley, Eddi, Dani, Jameson, and Jovi.  Dear sister of Pam (John) Cook and Nancy Aguado.  Dear sister-in-law of Dean (Chris) Burns, Richard (Trudy) Burns, and David (Sherry) Burns.  Dear aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Brenda met and married Dan, the love of her life, at Zion Baptist Church in South St. Louis on July 1, 1967.  Serving her family, her children and her grandchildren was her greatest joy.  Brenda lived a life for Jesus and faith was the cornerstone of her life.  She was an active and dedicated member of Central Baptist Church in Eureka.

She expressed her love through acts of service, most memorably through her cooking, crocheting and giving gifts.
Brenda will be remembered for her selflessness, generosity, compassion and love.

We rejoice in the promise that through Jesus Christ, death is not the end.  Though we mourn our loss, we take comfort in knowing that Brenda now rests in the loving arms of her Savior, reunited with those that have gone on before, and at peace in eternal life.

Services:  The family will receive friends for a visitation at Central Baptist Church, 601 North Central Avenue, Eureka MO 63025 on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The family will have a private prayer following the visitation.  The funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. and interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.  If desired, donations may be made to Central Baptist Church .  Please share memories of Brenda and condolences for the family in the online guestbook at www.Schrader.com .
