Obituary

Carmella Antoinette Anglin (née Castelli) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Carmella was the beloved wife of the late John T. Anglin; loving sister of Connie Wakefield; cherished daughter of the late Anne C. Castelli; and a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Carmella possessed a heart of gold and a deeply caring spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though she faced many challenges throughout her life, she met them with strength, grace, and resilience, always making the very best of life's moments.

She shared a deep and devoted bond with her husband, John, who was truly the center of her world. Carmella was immensely proud of John's service in the United States Marine Corps and spoke of his dedication and sacrifice with great admiration. The loss of her beloved husband and best friend in 2015 was a heartbreak she carried deeply throughout the years that followed. With her passing, Carmella is now reunited with her loving companion and best friend, John.

Early in her married life, Carmella discovered a love for making dolls, a passion that blossomed into a successful business and a treasured lifelong hobby. Her home reflected that love, filled wall to ceiling with her remarkable doll collection, each one carefully crafted or lovingly chosen.

She had a special love for animals, especially her beloved cats, Ariel and Belle, who brought her endless companionship and joy.

Family meant everything to Carmella. She devoted herself to the lives of her nieces and nephews, loving and caring for them as though they were her own children. As a Girl Scout leader, she invested her time, guidance, and encouragement into helping shape their lives and memories.

Carmella also found peace and happiness in the simple beauty of nature. She loved taking drives along quiet back roads, admiring the countryside, watching cows graze, and soaking in the beauty of the natural world around her.

She will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, strength, and the love she gave so freely to others. Carmella's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
