Carol Leetta Simmons (nee Hopson), passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Beloved wife of the late Gary Simmons.  Loving mother of Robby Simmons, Tammy (James) McGarry, Sherry (the late Christopher) Barone and Amy (Arturo) Rodriguez.  Cherished grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of many.  Dearest sister of Richard (the late Sue) Hopson, Ronald Hopson and the late William "Billy" (the late Ann) Hopson.  Dear daughter of the late William "Bill" and the late Ruth Hopson.  Dear aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Carol found much enjoyment in life in thrift shopping, antiquing, flower arranging, and keeping her yard immaculate.  She had a great appreciation for nature, especially birds, that she often fed and watched for hours. Carol will be most remembered for her gentle ways, kind heart and unconditional love.

Services:  The family will receive friends for a visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway,  Ballwin MO 63011 on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m.  Family and friends will gather at Schrader Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. and will proceed to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for a committal service at 10:00 a.m.  Please share memories of Carol and condolences with the family in the on-line guestbook at Schrader.com .
