Charles (Chuck)
Cazzaniga
May 16, 1939 — Feb 7, 2026
Ballwin
Charles (Chuck) Cazzaniga, peacefully passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 86. The son of Carlo and Josephine (Fedeli) Cazzaniga. Dear husband of Mary Cazzaniga for 62 years, father of Steve (Michele) Cazzaniga, Kimberly (Dave) Peterson, Kathy (Sean) McDonough, and Michael (Laura) Cazzaniga. Cherished Grandfather of Erica (Jake) Galeski, Jacob (Stefanie) Peterson; Nicole, Rachel, and Andrew Cazzaniga; Ben and Aiden McDonough; Josie Cazzaniga (Luis Lopez) and Gabriella Cazzaniga. Great Grandfather of Charlie Galeski and Theo Peterson. Dear Brother of Mary Ann (Bob) Petenger, and the late Marion (Lon) Sicotte. Dear uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend to many.
He will be remembered for his warm heart, gentle spirit, and the inviting sense of humor that brought comfort and smiles to all who knew him. A man of deep faith, Charles regularly attended Mass at St. Joseph's Church and lived his life guided by devotion, kindness, and gratitude.
He was known for his dedication and integrity during his long career as an insurance executive with Reliable Life Insurance Company, where he spent most of his professional career. Charles found joy in the simple treasures of life, especially his love of coin and stamp collecting, always appreciating the stories and history they carried.
Above all, family was the center of Charles's world. He was a caring and loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud and adoring grandfather and great-grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with those he loved — from family lake vacations, which were among his favorites and where he enjoyed fishing, to adventures traveling to Italy, Alaska, the Rhine River, and Hawaii being some of his favorites.
Nothing meant more to Charles than watching his grandchildren grow. He took great pride in attending their activities, celebrating their milestones, and sharing in their lives with unwavering love and support.
Charles leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, laughter, and devotion to family that will live in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
