Charles Robert Flemming III (CB, Brown, Chuck)
Charles Robert Flemming III passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with Frontotemporal Dementia.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gail (Gorman) Flemming, and treasured daughter Buffy and her husband Scott Briggs, many, many dear friends, cousins, and half-brother Del Wenzlick (Jeanne).
Charlie is predeceased by his mother, Mildred May Meyer Wenzlick (Harold (Bill)); his father, Charles Flemming Jr. (Betty); his mother-in-law, Annabelle Wilson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas Gorman (June); and his brother-in-law, Glenn Gorman.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Charlie was a fun-loving guy with an unwavering love for those he held dear. Charlie and Gail enjoyed traveling from Nova Scotia to Hawaii, Alaska to Florida, and everywhere in between. Charlie and Gail loved and enjoyed one another, their daughter, Buffy, and son-in-law, Scott, and their dear friends, at their home, their condo, on trips to Florida, or just hanging out.
He loved all things mobile, especially motorcycles, cars, trucks, and boats. Charlie had many hobbies over the years, including an amazing HO-scale train display he built to showcase his favorite pastimes.
Gail, Buffy and Scott wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Garden View Care Center at Doughtery Ferry, Pathways Hospice and Palliative Care (Sam, Sammie, and Stephanie), and Private Home Care (Aza and Tary) for their care, compassion, and kindness; and to Doctors Fuller and McDade of BJC and Washington University and their staffs.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 between 2:00pm and 6:00pm, at Jefferson Grill, 127 West Jefferson Ave, Kirkwood, MO 63122. Interment will be a private event later. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Memory Care Home Solutions or The Association for Frontotemporal Dementia, or the charity of your choice.
