Charlotte (Chalky)
Ann Vuichard
Sep 24, 1939 — Apr 24, 2026
St. Louis
With great love and sadness, we announce the loss of Charlotte (Chalky) Ann Vuichard who passed peacefully in her sleep on April 24th, 2025, at the age of 86. Charlotte was born on September 24th, 1939, to Charles Vuichard and Angela (Bryant) Vuichard in St. Louis, MO. She had one half-brother Robert Groll and a former husband Richard Drexler who both preceded her in death. Charlotte was loved by family and friends and leaves behind a devoted family, her daughter Debra Drexler, and grandson Leland Drexler-Russell. She was known for her warmth, charisma, compassion, and sense of adventure.
Charlotte grew up in St. Louis and attended St. Andrews School and Hancock High School where she was a successful and popular student and the Senior Prom Queen. She was involved with her family, the church, and brought home a collection of animals who "followed her home from school". She became a mother at 18 years old. After careers in advertising, modeling and at KSD TV, Chalky fulfilled her long-standing ambition of working for Trans World Airlines. Her career with TWA started in 1974, as a Ground Hostess. She dedicated herself to the airline and worked her way up to become a Receptionist at The Ambassador Club, then a Flight Attendant and finally an In-Flight Supervisor. During her time at TWA, Chalky was living in New York, St. Louis and Los Angeles. The job gave her the ability to pursue her passion to travel the world. Chalky particularly loved the architectural and natural beauty of Greece; and fashion, culture and cuisine of France. She was an adventurous traveler from climbing up the bell towers of European churches to riding camels across the desert of Egypt. Her friendly nature allowed her to move easily through diverse countries and cultures. Chalky was a devoted animal lover and spent her later years rescuing animals. She will be remembered for her generosity, determination, courage, adventurous spirit, fashion sensibility, and striking beauty.
