Obituary

Christina Hudson Locke, born June 27, 1970, in Wellington, Kansas, to Carl Hudson and Sherrel Hudson, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at the age of 55, surrounded by her loved ones.

Christina earned her first degree in education and went on to earn her master's degree in psychology. She loved the work she did as a mental health professional for the State of Missouri, where she touched countless lives with her compassion, dedication, and care.

She had a deep love of travel, and her favorite place to visit was Dauphin Island, Alabama, especially when traveling there with her husband and family. Her husband and family will be having a private celebration of life there on the beach.

Though Christina battled liver disease for many years, she refused to let it diminish her zest for life. Whether it was a family gathering, a spontaneous outing, or a road trip to somewhere new, she was always ready to go. She treasured time spent with those she loved and created countless memories along the way. Her strength, determination, and love of life inspired all who knew her.

Christina was the beloved wife of David D. Locke; devoted mother of Christopher Jones, Matthew Jones and his life partner, Angela, Samantha (Todd Corcoran) Jones, and Nicholas Jones; cherished grandmother of Scarlett Rose, Verity, Maverick, Ryliegh, Mason, Hunter, Daisy, Liam, and Violette; loving sister of Mendy Zimmerman; beloved daughter of Carl Hudson and Sherrel Neely; and treasured aunt of Sid, Shelby, Braden, Kinzie, Ellie, and Kyle.

A celebration of life for friends and extended family will be held at a later date. The date and details will be shared on the funeral home's website in the memorial "In Memory" section once they are finalized.

Christina will be remembered for her loving spirit, her devotion to helping others, and the joy she found in family, travel, and the life she built. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory and the love she shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Forever loved, forever remembered.
