Clarice Rose (Schmidt) Beckemeier passed away on June 5, 2026.  She was the daughter of Henry and Clara (Hilse) Schmidt, sister of Marian Schmidt Jackson and Paul Schmidt.  Clarice married Wilbur F. Beckemeier on November 1, 1952.  They were blessed with three children: Bonnie Lee, Randy Wilbur, and Rita Marie Beckemeier.  Later she and Wilbur were blessed with five grandchildren: James, Mark, and Anna Sanders, and Daniel and David Beckemeier.

Clarice was born and educated in St. Louis County.  She was an elementary teacher for the Rockwood, Normandy, and Parkway School Districts, having taught for forty years.  Clarice thoroughly enjoyed her many years of teaching in the public school system, her years as a Sunday School and Bible School teacher, as well as volunteer work at school.  Many of her former students and parents have remained friends through the years.

Clarice was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur, daughter Bonnie, parents Henry and Clara Schmidt, sister Marian (Melvin) Jackson, brother Paul (Alvina) Schmidt, nephew Alfred Burch, son-in-law James Sanders, father and mother-in-law Fred and Edna Beckemeier, sister-in-law Florence (Perry) Pennington, great-nephew Chad Pennington, and nephews Wayne and Bruce Pennington.

Clarice is survived by her children Randy (Linda) Beckemeier, Rita Sanders, grandchildren Jim (Alena), Mark, and Anna Sanders, and Daniel and David Beckemeier, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Clarice thanks our Heavenly Father for sending His Son Jesus to die for our sins and the Holy Spirit to be with us to guide and direct us.  God is love!

At Clarice's request, services are private.  If desired, contributions may be made to Every Child's Hope (Evangelical Children's Home) or St. Paul's Evangelical Church Cemetery fund.  Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
