Daniel G. Stanfill, loving father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away, Monday, January 19, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Beloved father of Michael (Sara) Stanfill.  Loving brother of Curt (Terry) Stanfill and Michelle Poorman.  Dearest uncle of Stephanie (Cory) Farley, James Stanfill, Emily (Cameron) Taylor, Alexander Poorman, and Mallory Poorman.  Dear great uncle of Eli, Emma, Elena, Brooks, and Olivia.  Dear nephew of Frank Murphy.  He is also survived by his canine companions Zeus, Koby, and Snickers.  Dearest cousin and friend of many.  He is preceded in death by his parents Barbara (nee Erk) and James Stanfill.

Dan was an avid St. Louis Blues fan, car and motorcyclist enthusiast, and ardent trout fisherman-if you know, you know.

He will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor (and sarcasm), his inability to walk out of the Humane Society without a dog in tow, how children and dogs were instinctively drawn to him, his love for his family, and being a loyal friend. He had a generous and loving soul in life and that didn't stop in his death. He donated his liver and saved the life of another man here in Missouri.  In his death, he gave the gift of life.

Services: The family will receive friends at the FAMILY CENTER at SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, MO 63011, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted in the Schrader Chapel, Wednesday, January 28, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
