It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David A. McGreer. David died peacefully on July 5, 2026, at Evelyn's House (BJC Hospice). Through his journey of eighty years, he touched many lives with his wisdom, humor, and kindness.

Dave was born on May 7, 1946, to Audrey "Pat" & Goldia (White) McGreer, in La Grange Park, IL. He was a proud graduate of Lion's Township High School (class of 1964), often sharing fond memories of "The Coral," pitching for the baseball team, and meeting the love of his life, Theresa. Dave & Terri were wed on August 3, 1968, and, shortly after, he was sent to the demilitarized zone in South Korea by the United States Army. He proudly served for two years, rising to the rank of sergeant. Upon return, David earned a bachelor's degree in business from Aurora University and went on to enjoy working in sales in the medical supply, electrical, and lighting fields. Most of all, Dave loved spending time with his family-especially if he was involved in the cooking or grilling for guests.

He is survived by his loving wife Theresa (Staroska) McGreer; son, Kevin (Kristen) McGreer; brothers Steve (late Dene) McGreer and Don (Pam) McGreer; his favorite in-laws Pat (Staroska) & John Wright; and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerry (late Diana Dunning; Veronica) McGreer, and his sister Velma (John) Tucker.
