Sheehy, David William, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the age of 88.

Beloved husband for 63 years of the late Ingrid Ann Sheehy (nee Welschoff); dear father of Michael Sheehy (Cheryl); Proud grandfather "Opa" of Sarah Sheehy, Adam Sheehy, Camren Daly, and Ashley Polta. Dear brother of the late Paul (Mary Ann) Sheehy and the late Richard Sheehy; Dearest brother-in-law of Maria Kinnbacher. Dear son of the late Almer and Vivian Sheehy (nee Castings). Dear uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

He took great pride and joy being part of the Eureka community, especially at the Timbers. He will forever be missed. We all loved him so much.

David joined the US Army in Oct 1960 and studied Russian for 37 weeks before his first assignment to Germany. He became fluent in Russian and German during that 2-year tour.  David served in Vietnam on 2 1-year tours in 1966 & 68. He was assigned to the Military Assistance Command Vietnam Special Operations Group (MACV-SOG) as an Intelligence Analyst fluent in Vietnamese. He was honorably discharged in May 1969 as a SFC E-7.

Services:  Memorial visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home - Eureka, 108 North Central Ave, Eureka, MO 63025 on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Following the visitation, his urn will be escorted by the Patriot Guardians to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for a committal service, with full military honors at 12:30 p.m.  If desired, the family would request any donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) at ( https://www.dav.org/ ).  Please share memories of David and condolences with the family in the on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
