Dawn Marie Sherrill

Dawn Marie Sherrill passed away peacefully on October 30, 2026.

Born on July 16, 1968, in St. Louis, Missouri, Dawn was the beloved daughter of Frank and Frances Burns. She graduated from Lafayette High School and went on to earn a degree in Communications from Southwest Missouri State University.

From an early age, Dawn was adventurous, determined, and eager to take on new challenges. She even won a regional judo competition, an accomplishment that reflected her confidence and perseverance.

Dawn was a gifted artist with a passion for painting and design. She found joy in expressing her creativity and sharing it with others.

She was also a proud and supportive aunt who attended as many of her nieces' and nephew's games, performances, and activities as she could, always cheering them on and celebrating their accomplishments.

Dawn was a devoted cat mom, whose pets were a constant source of companionship and joy. She provided them with the same love, care, and affection that she so freely gave to family and friends.

A devout Christian, Dawn's faith remained an important source of strength and comfort throughout her life.

Dawn is survived by her father, Frank Burns; her brother, Joseph (Rachael) Burns; her nieces, Maren and Quinn Burns; and her nephew, Harper Burns.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Burns.
