Obituary

Hinch, Delia Faye (nee Pike), passed away, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the age of 76.  She was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Eugene Burlin and Nancy Mabel (nee Layton) Pike.  Faye was the beloved wife of Charles Lindell Hinch, who preceded her in death July 3, 2021; dearest mother of Paula (Mike) Utt, Pamela (Dale) Beaver, Daniel (Amber) Hinch, Deborah (Mark) Dudenhoefer, Bryan (Cheryl) Hinch, and Kelly (John) Ziegler; dear grandmother of Austin Hinch, Michael (Aimee) Dudenhoeffer, Michael (Katie) Utt, Christopher (Heather) Hinch, Megan (John) Gibson, Emily (Brandon) Sutton, Amanda (Joe) Venetis, Hannah (Justin) Brown, Josh Ziegler, Ashley (Tanner) North, Jared Beaver, and 12 Great-grandchildren; loving sister of Nancy (Bob) Holtzclaw and Brother Bob (Sherlyn) Pike, and dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Delia was never afraid to take on the next adventure in life.  She always had faith everything would work out.  Delia was a proud nurse, working lots of long nights. Later in life, she enjoyed working alongside her husband, Charles, in their family business. She lived a life full of love and devotion to her family.

Delia was a woman of faith, always putting God first, no matter where she was in life.  A close second was her family - she enjoyed every second of being a wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma.  She bravely hosted sleepovers with all nine grandchildren at once, filmed plays, crafted, played outside, and always insisted on dessert before dinner.

She had a love for camping, mainly because it brought all her family together in one place - though we all know she was terrified of bugs.  She enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Texas with her daughters to visit her son. She loved to get together with her friends and paint.
Delia always lit up every room she walked into. She was witty, smart and had the best laugh. She will be deeply missed by all. She is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who went before her.
