Obituary

Dennis Rodgers, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2025. A happy-go-lucky spirit, Dennis was known for his ever-present smile, kind heart, and gift for making others feel seen, valued, and uplifted. To know him was to be touched by his warmth and joyful presence. Born to Carol and Francis Rodgers, Dennis grew up in a close-knit family where love, laughter, and loyalty were at the center of his life. He was the cherished brother of Dana Hofer, Keith Rodgers, and Kenneth Rodgers (Heide). Dennis held a special place in his siblings' lives, offering steady support, humor, and unconditional love throughout the years. His role as a brother was one he treasured, and his devotion to family was one of his defining qualities. Dennis shared an especially deep bond with his brother, Keith, with whom he lived his entire life. Their relationship was one of profound love, friendship, and mutual care. They were inseparable companions-sharing not only a home but also countless memories, daily routines, and an unspoken understanding that only brothers so close could know. Keith's presence was a constant source of comfort and joy to Dennis, and their bond was one of the greatest blessings of his life. Dennis was also a much-loved uncle, a role that brought him great pride and joy. He was adored by his nieces and nephews: Cortney Rodgers, Nicole Raulerson Millay (Wade), Melissa Millay, Xander Rodgers, Harrison Rodgers, Francesca Rodgers, Anderson Rodgers, Nolan Rodgers, and Scarlett Rodgers. Whether it was cheering them on at school and sporting events, sharing in family celebrations, or simply spending time together, Dennis had a way of making each of them feel uniquely special. His laughter, patience, and playful spirit will forever be remembered in their hearts. Dennis was a man of many talents. Among them was his gift as an artist. With a keen eye and attention to fine details, he created works that reflected his creativity, patience, and passion. His artistry not only served as a personal joy, but also an expression of his love and soul. Those who knew him best often marveled at the care and thought he poured into everything he created, whether on canvas or in his approach to life itself. He had a passion for life's simple joys and approached each day with gratitude and enthusiasm. A lifelong hockey fan, Dennis found joy in the thrill of the game, both as a spectator and player. One of his greatest passions was the game of golf, which he played weekly with his brother, Kenny, his dear friend, Mike, and cousin, Pat. These outings were about more than the score-they were times of camaraderie, storytelling, and laughter, time spent creating bonds and memories that will last a lifetime.

Dennis's kind nature extended beyond people to animals, whom he loved dearly. His gentle nature, paired with his unwavering compassion, made him a true friend to all living creatures. He will always be remembered for the way he lit up every room he entered, uplifting others with his warm smile and contagious positivity. Those who knew Dennis will remember a man who was authentic, loyal, and selfless. He found joy in bringing happiness to others and lived each day in a way that reflected his generous spirit. His legacy is one of love, joy, kindness, creativity, and laughter; a legacy that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. Dennis will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. However, his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched. His nieces and nephews will forever carry his joyful spirit in their hearts, passing on the lessons of love, kindness, and resilience which he quietly instilled in them. Though his time on this earth was far too short, the impact Dennis made will remain everlasting. His family finds comfort in knowing that while he may no longer walk beside them, his light, spirit, and smile will never fade away.
