Obituary

Myers, Diane L. (nee DeCort), entered into rest on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the age of 76.

Beloved wife for thirty-four years of David Myers; devoted mother of Bradley (Jessica) Lagos, Nicole (Micah) Ford, and Michael Lagos; cherished stepmother of Lara (David) Venable and Shelley Delayne; proud grandmother of Elaina Lagos, Lia Lagos, Rylan Lagos, Emma Ford, Anna Ford, Zachary Venable, Alex Venable, Ben Venable, and Tori Siracusa; dear sister of Debbie Scott and David DeCort; loving daughter of the late Frank and Lois DeCort.

Diane was born in Toledo, Ohio, and carried her Midwestern warmth with her throughout her life. She was blessed with three children-Brad, Nicole, and Michael-whom she raised with deep love and devotion. She found lasting love and companionship with her husband, David. Diane and Dave were married in 1992 and shared more than three decades of devoted marriage together.

Diane spent many years as Director of Revenue Analysis in the Patient Accounts Department at St. Louis University Hospital and later with Tenet, where she was known for her dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic. A testament to her perseverance and commitment to personal growth, Diane earned her college degree cum laude in 1999 while continuing to work and care for her family. She retired from Tenet in 2015 after a distinguished 35-year career.

Diane embraced her golden years with purpose and joy. She was a proud member of the Assistance League of St. Louis, volunteering countless hours in support of its mission. She was also a devoted member of Bethel Church in Crown Point, Indiana, where her son serves as Executive Pastor. Her Christian faith was deeply meaningful to her, and she rarely missed weekend worship.

Diane found joy in many hobbies and interests, including ballroom dancing, quilting, and Mahjong. She was known for her gentle kindness, her fun-loving spirit, and her generous hospitality. She loved bringing people together, often hosting memorable "happy hours" for family and friends. Above all, her greatest joy was her family-especially her children and grandchildren-whom she loved unconditionally and supported with unwavering devotion.

Diane will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched all who knew her. Her presence was truly one of a kind. She will be sorely missed.
