Margenau, Donald, baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Sunday, July 5, 2026. Beloved husband of 67 years to Linda Margenau. Loving father of Pam and Dave Margenau. Brother of the late Mary Ann Lang. Brother in law of Joseph Lang. Uncle of Karen Lang.

Don Margenau retired from a successful career at Monsanto in 1992.  He was fortunate to be retired the remaining 34 years of his life with Linda, his wife of 67 years.   They went on some amazing trips together and enjoyed the company of their various friend groups.  Don also enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children, Pam and Dave.

Don volunteered at MindsEye at Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Illinois.   For 9 years he read newspapers to the blind through Minds Eye's broadcast.

Don loved sports.  He was a very dedicated St. Louis Cardinals fan and was excited when spring training arrived every year. Don organized a summer golf tour with his friends.  For 10 years he ran the tour and also organized golf trips for the tour members. He made many new friends through his golfing.  Don also enjoyed hockey and watching the St. Louis Blues.

Don was a very kind man and he will be greatly missed.

Services:  Funeral Mass at Ascension Catholic Church, Chesterfield, Thursday, July 16, 10:00 a.m.  Interment PRIVATE. If desired, contributions may be made to American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association .
