Donald Lee Young, of Pacific, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
Donald was a beloved father, proud Papa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His greatest joy in life was his family, and he cherished every moment spent with them-especially the time he shared with his grandchildren.
He was the beloved father of Brittni (David) Kelley and Alexander (Kassidy) Young, and the proud and loving Papa of Violet, Dexter, Finnley, Keenan, Blaire, and Cole. He was the dearest brother of Elizabeth (Wayne) Robinson, Joan Young, Patricia (Kevin) Green, Kelly (Marty) Delatorre, and Julie (Richard) Leonhardt, and the late Margaret Young. He was also a beloved uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Sandra and Arthur Young.
Born and raised in Pacific, Missouri, Donald graduated from Pacific High School in 1993. He was a friend to many and had a way of making people feel welcome. He loved nature and lived life with a free spirit, always marching to the beat of his own drum.
Donald had an exceptional sense of humor and, as those who knew him best would agree, he always had a comment for everything. His quick wit, playful personality, and unmistakable sense of humor could turn an ordinary moment into a memorable one. He was also a wonderful storyteller, and there was rarely a shortage of stories-or opinions-when Donald was around.
Above all, Donald was dependable. He was someone his family and friends could count on, and he gave his love in his own unique way. His greatest pride was his children and grandchildren, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever.
Donald leaves behind a lifetime of laughter, stories, love, and memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, those who loved him can take comfort in knowing that his humor, his free spirit, and his love for family will carry on through the generations. He will be loved, remembered, and missed more than words can say.
