Dec 8, 1947 — Jun 25, 2026
Wildwood
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald "Jerry" Michael Trunko, who passed away on June 25, 2026.
Jerry was born on December 8, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, to William and Irene Trunko. Throughout his life, he was known for his wonderful sense of humor, quick wit, and genuine love for people.
Jerry attended Vianney High School before graduating from Saint Louis University. He dedicated his career to the automobile industry, where he made a lasting impact on both colleagues and customers. He began working at Feld Chevrolet in 1973 and, in 1989, joined the Weber Chevrolet family as Truck Manager. After 32 years of dedicated service at Weber Chevrolet, Jerry retired in 2021.
Jerry's greatest passion was the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, hunting, hiking, or simply working on his property, he found joy and peace in nature. He was happiest when he was outside, enjoying the beauty of the world around him.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Debra; his daughter, Karen Trunko; his son, Gerald Trunko Jr.; his sister, Barbara (Glen) Mertens; his brothers, Glenn Trunko and Jim (Jan) Trunko; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William ("Bill") and Irene Trunko; his nephew, Brian Trunko; and his nieces, Angie Trunko and Tina Casey.
Those who knew Jerry will remember his infectious humor, kind heart, and unwavering generosity. His love, laughter, and enduring spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
