Obituary

Bell, Glenna (née Burns), passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Eugene Bell, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. They were united in marriage on November 15, 1947.

Glenna was the beloved mother of Dennis (Linda) Bell; cherished grandmother of Steven (Kandice) Bell, Christine Bell, and Angela Bell; and devoted great‑grandmother of Matthew, Christopher, Nicholas, and Brooke. Preceding her in death were her three brothers, Carl, Doyle, and Billy Joe Burns, and three sisters, Wanda Evans, Shirley Heitman, and Joyce Creasman. She was also a dear aunt, great‑aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Glenna worked for American Can Company for 35 years before retiring with Eugene to a small farm in Salem, Missouri, where they enjoyed the quiet country life. She loved gardening, caring for her pets, and spending time with her family. Glenna was always ready for a game of cards or dominos and treasured the laughter that came with it.

In 2017, she returned to the St. Louis area, where she made many new friends and became a beloved member of her retirement community.
