Obituary

Hagemann, Harold F., asleep in Jesus, Monday, April 27, 2026, at the age of 90.  He was born in his family home in Manchester, Missouri, the youngest child of Arthur and Theresa (nee Dietrich) Hagemann.  Harold was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Des Peres, a veteran of the U. S. Army, and owned and operated Hagemann Landscaping, with his wife Nancy, for over 50 years, before their retirement in 2018.

He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Nancy L. (nee Lynn) Hagemann, who preceded him in death June 25, 2020; loving father of Jeff (Michele) Hagemann, and Rachel Hagemann; dear grandfather of Shelby (Justin) Hagemann Hall, and Saxon Hagemann; proud great-grandfather of Jorvik and Olin Hall; plus numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.  Harold was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and siblings Lucille (Roland) Hoffmann, Carl (Bernice) Hagemann, Kenneth (Catherine) Hagemann, Flora (Robert) Meyer, Elmer (Frances) Hagemann, Alvin (Betty) Hagemann, and Laverne Clanney, and her husbands' Buel Manis and Herman Clanney.

The most important thing in Harold's life was his family and he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them.  Friends and family coming over to the house all the time gave him so much joy.  He continously talked about how his family was the best, and how each family member was wonderful.  There is a celebration, in heaven, for him with his brothers and sisters.

Harold met his wife, Nancy, on a blind date.  He fell in love with her immediately.  They were married six months later and enjoyed 57 years of marriage.

Harold loved his job as a landscaper and was in high demand.  He started as a young man working for different people.  After he married Nancy, she encouraged him to start his own business. Over time many nephews worked for him. He always mentioned how proud he was to be able to work with his nephews and how they were able to start their own business, in landscaping, after the start he gave them.

After his wife's passing, Harold remained in their first house they bought in 1966.  He loved his house.  He loved that he could still continue with some landscaping, at the house, even after he had to closed his business.

Even after his decline in vision, he continued to work as long as possible and do projects around the house. His upbeat attitude was an inspiration to all.

Harold was a great friend to many and especially among his neighbors on Connie Lane. His door wae always open, and his passing will leave a huge gap in the heart of the local community.
