Obituary

Isaac James Sabbagh, passed away, Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Beloved husband of Lillian Sabbagh (nee Howell).  Loving son of Amen and Tina Sabbagh.  Dearest brother of Jacob Sabbagh.  Dear grandson of Fayze Sabbagh.  Dear nephew of Khaled Sabbagh, Ali (Sahar) Sabbagh, Kelly (Ali) Bazzi, Linda Sabbagh, Ghinwah (Bassem) Karkaba, Steve Calvin, and Angie (David) Potter.  Dearest son-in-law of Mark and Carolyn Howell.  Dear brother-in-law of Amanda, Nathan (Jenna), and Justine Howell.  Dear cousin of Suna, Mohamed, Hassan, and Gabrielle Bazzi; Hassan and Alexa Sabbagh; Isabelle, Juliauna, and Olivia Karkaba; Sophia Sabbagh; Blake Potter and Rachel Odehnal. He is also survived by countless friends and his beloved dog Tillie. Isaac is preceded in death by his grandparents, Hassan Sabbagh, Mary Peper, and James Giller.

He was born in Creve Coeur, Missouri, and spent his early childhood in Fenton, where he attended Guffey Elementary School. It was there that he first developed a love of roller hockey, a sport he actively participated in for many years. In 2010, he moved to Chesterfield, Missouri, attending Crestview Middle School and later Marquette High School, where he played lacrosse and graduated in 2015.

After high school, Isaac attended Southwestern Illinois College, where he earned multiple welding certifications. In 2016, he began his career at Triad Manufacturing in St. Louis as a production welder. Known for his innovative thinking, he steadily advanced and was promoted to Welding Supervisor in 2025, a role he took great pride in.

In May 2020, Isaac met Lillian Howell, the love of his life. They were married on September 13, 2025, beginning a chapter defined by joy, devotion, and shared dreams.

Isaac was a loyal friend, an outgoing presence, and someone who truly never met a stranger. He had a natural ability to connect with people and made those around him feel instantly welcome. A devoted Pittsburgh Steelers and Michigan fan, he traveled to numerous games over the years. Michigan held a special place in his heart and was his second home, where his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins lived. He cherished time spent there and the large, loving family who welcomed him so warmly.

Isaac loved the beach, traveling, movies-including a fondness for horror films-telling jokes, and enjoying a great steak dinner. He could often be found engaged in thoughtful conversations about politics and history. In his spare time, he created custom welding art, generously sharing his talent and creativity with friends and family.

Above all, Isaac was known for his generous heart and encouraging spirit. Proud of his Lebanese heritage-something he embraced with humor despite his unmistakable red hair-Isaac brought warmth, loyalty, and joy to every relationship. He will be deeply and forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
