James "Jim" Dunn

Dunn, James "Jim", baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Beloved husband of Kathy Dunn; devoted father of Robert (Jane) Dunn, Trevor (Jen) Dunn, and Drew (Sarah) Dunn; cherished grandfather "PaPa" of Savannah Dunn, Bradley Dunn, Elaine Dunn, Hudson Willard, Nolan Willard, and Braxton Willard; dear brother-in-law of Kate Dunn; dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Jim was born to Robert and Marie Dunn. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Michael Dunn and his sister, Patricia Rock. He graduated from Mercy High School. Jim served his country as a member of the United States Air Force which he joined after high school. He graduated from trade school and had a successful 45 year career in the technology field. Jim worked his way up to System Engineer and Project Manager as well as Senior System Manager and Project Manager.

Jim loved life and his family. He was a positive man and wanted positive energy around him. He was never afraid to try new things, like living in Alaska for a couple of years. He loved his children and was very proud of their accomplishments and he wished the best for them. He adored his grandchildren. He loved to play games, put puzzles together, go to the park, and sit and talk on the deck.

He was a regular sports nut. An avid Duke Basketball fan, Pro and College football follower, and an all time St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan.

Jim had a smile and laugh that was contagious. It made people smile and laugh along. His blue eyes always had a hint of mischief behind their twinkle. Especially when he was smiling. When Jim would wrap you in a bear hug, you knew you were safe and loved.

Jim never knew a stranger. He would go out of his way to help someone in need. If you had a problem, he wanted to find a solution to solve it and fix it.

Jim loved retirement because he could spend more time doing all the things he loved, especially his all time favorite, Fishing. If there was a stream, river, lake, or ocean, he wanted to fish. Jim Limited Out on 10-13-2026. Happy fishing in that Great Lake in the Sky.
