Obituary

Jeralyn Sue Thompson, 77, of Ellisville, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, in the loving presence of her husband Doug and daughter Jennifer.

Born in Carbondale, Illinois, on February 2, 1949, to Gerald and Dilla Webb, Jeralyn was the only child, though she was never lonely. She had the love and companionship of a large family, particularly through her five aunts on Dilla's side and cousins who were close like sisters.

Jeralyn had a quick wit and an amazing personality that made everyone laugh. Everyone desired the seat next to her to catch her hilarious side comments-a trait that undoubtedly helped her earn the title of Homecoming Queen.

She met Doug at Teen Town, Marion's community hangout, and he was in love at first sight. She came around eventually enough to become his wife, and they were married on December 21, 1968.

Between marriage and motherhood, Jeralyn completed her Master's degree in education and spent 30 years teaching in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. She was dedicated to her craft and, above all, dedicated to her family.

Jeralyn loved Jesus deeply and taught her children to love Him as well. She was involved with her church every step of the way, leading a life that reflected her faith. She made wonderful lifelong friends because she was an amazing friend in return, often wearing out telephone cords, multitasking around the house and keeping her loved ones connected.

Jeralyn is survived by her husband of 58 years, Doug; her daughters, Jennifer (Khris) Stillman, Gina (Dennis) Moreland, and Jacqueline (Travis) Foley; grandchildren, Khris Jr., John, Sydney, Caroline, Natalie, Sam Parker, Brenna, Riley, Katherine, and AJ; and great-grandchildren, Monroe, Madden, Mauer June, Charlotte, McKay, and Joanna Parker.

She is also survived by her brother-in-law, her cousins, and a host of friends who will miss her smile and her sharp, loving wit.
