Jere Campbell
(Nee Keathley)
Jun 22, 1931 — May 6, 2026
Ellisville
Campbell, Geraldine (nee Keathley) "Jere", age 94, passed away, Wednesday, May 6, 2026. She was born in Kenton, Tennessee, the daughter of Elihue Auburn Keathley and Ollie Mae (nee Perryman) Keathley.
Jere is the beloved wife of the late William Campbell "Bill"; dear mother of Suzanne (Joseph) Clemens and Stuart (Jane) Campbell; loving grandmother of Lauren (Colin) Lauer, Lindsey (Matt) Viefhaus, Nicholas Campbell and Clayton Campbell; and great-grandmother of London and Carson Lauer, and Malia and Gemma Viefhaus.
Jere was a faithful Christian woman whose life was marked by devotion, music, generosity, and love for others. She became a church pianist at the age of 12 and used her God-given gift in faithful service to the Lord throughout her life. A piano teacher for much of her life, Jere touched the lives of many students in deeply personal and lasting ways. To say she loved playing the piano would be an understatement; through her music, she brought joy and encouragement to countless people.
Jere also had a genuine love for people and a gift for knowing them deeply. She cherished her family and found her greatest joy in time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren -sharing meals, talking, laughing, and playing games together. Her generous heart was evident in the way she cared for others, especially those less fortunate, and she was passionate about sharing what she had to bless those in need.
Services: Private burial at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. In lieu of flowers/If desired, contributions may be made to World Vision or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital . A celebration of Jere's life will be held at the Rock Church, Ballwin, on June 20, visitation 1pm; service 2pm. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
