Stephens, Jimmy Darell, passed away, Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Husband of the late Lawana Stephens (nee Root). Loving father of Holly R. (Scott) Stephens-Walter, Suzanne I. (Brian) Norvell, Denise M. (Jim) Mathes, and Rhonda J. Williams. Proud grandfather of Jerrid, Jack, and Jay Bonnell; James, Alex, and Clay Norvell; Rob and Todd Burkemper. Dearest great-grandfather of Sylas, Bella, Talia, Zorro, Kenzie, Lucas, Lucy, TJ, Eleanor, and Violet. Dearest brother of Michael Stephens, the late Maxine Nosser, the late Beverly Pope and the late Judy Stephens. Dear uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

Jim had a giant heart and wore it on his sleeve. After retirement, he continued to build and tinker. He remodeled every home he lived in, adding rooms, bathrooms, and screened in porches. All the while claiming he was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He enjoyed fishing, smacking golf balls, watching birds, and spending time with family.
