John Michael Freeborn of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

John was the beloved father of Matt (Laura) Freeborn and John "Brad" Freeborn, and the proud grandfather of Kurtis, Claire, and Mason. He was the dear brother of Linda Freeborn and a cherished friend to many. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Butts.

Born on November 25, 1954, in Jackson, Michigan, John lived a life defined by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for family and friends. Blessed with remarkable musical talent, he enjoyed playing the piano, guitar, drums, and many other instruments. A businessman at heart, John was also a prolific author who wrote numerous books throughout his life.

John found great joy in the outdoors and had a special love for animals. Known for his sense of humor and quick wit, he delighted in making others laugh and brought happiness to those around him.

John's warmth, creativity, and generous spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
