Overy, John D., passed away surrounded by family, Sunday, October 19, 2025.

Beloved husband for 66 years of Judith Overy; devoted father of Lisa Nikodem and Leslie (Jim) Cook; cherished grandfather of Ashley (Kurt) Wunderlich, Andrew Nikodem, Brittany Beseda, and Brandon Beseda; loving great-grandfather of 5; dear brother of Gerald (Rosa) Overy, Steven (Edna) Overy, Philip (Barbara) Overy, Dennis (Liz) Overy, Daniel (Mary Jane) Overy, and Stanley (the late Betty) Overy; dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

At the age of 17 John enlisted in the Navy to serve his country. He worked at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for over 30 years and belonged to the Boeing skeet and trap Club. John was Master of his Lodge in St. Louis and a Mason for 42 years. He was an active man that enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles, playing golf, and riding horses. John had a boat named Discovery at the St. Louis Yacht Club.

Services: Celebration of Life to be announced at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital St. Louis .
