John Andrew Sims

Our beautiful, kind, wonderful husband, brother, dad, uncle, papa, John Andrew Sims, passed away on Friday November 28th at the age of 89. After celebrating a nice Thanksgiving dinner with family, he peacefully left this world.

He was a wonderful husband of his wife Dorothy for 64 years. He was a loving Father of his three children, Mary, John, and Patrick, and a doting grandfather (papa) to his granddaughters Chloe and Rosa. He lovingly welcomed to the family his two sons-in-law Brad and Tim and his grandson-in-law Matthew. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Dan and Janet Murphy and his sister-in-law Betty Sims. He would do anything for his family and had the biggest heart. He will forever be missed. We all loved him so much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rebecca Sims and his in-laws Walter and Elizabeth Murphy. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Mary Sims Ray and her husband Robert, Martha Schaefer, Charles Sims, Thomas Sims, Barbara Bueckendorf, and Alice Tschudin.

Services: Memorial visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Sunday, December 7th from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Alban Roe Catholic Church, 2001 Shepard Road, Wildwood, MO 63038 on Tuesday, December 9th, at 10:00 a.m. Following the funeral mass, his remains will be interred at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
