Karen Edith Galo, passed away on January 12, 2026.

She was a devoted mother, daughter, and advocate whose life was defined by compassion, resilience, and purpose.

For 15 years, she courageously lived with breast cancer, using her voice to advocate for women-particularly within Latinx and under-served communities-by raising awareness, sharing knowledge, and championing equitable care.

A gifted storyteller with a deep love for marketing and community building, Karen believed in the power of connection and meaningful conversation.

New York City was her home and her heart; she found joy in its energy, its seasons, and the life she built within it.

Known for her elegance, warmth, and generosity of spirit, Karen will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her radiant smile, and her enduring commitment to uplifting others.

Karen is survived by her mother, Edith and her children, Eddie and Rachel.

Services: A memorial service will be held at the Crossing, 114 N Eatherton Road, Chesterfield, MO, Friday, January 16, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment service at Bethel Cemetery in Wildwood.
