Obituary

Katherine "Kate" Lee Johnson, 22, of St. Louis, MO, passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2026.

Kate was born on June 30, 2003, in St. Louis, MO, to Patrick and Michelle (Vilmain) Johnson. She grew up in a close-knit family and often shared fond memories of time spent at the lake, Rosemary Beach, Forest Hills, and many other special places.

Kate attended Apple Hill Preschool, Chesterfield Elementary School, Rockwood Valley Middle School, and Lafayette High School alongside her siblings.

Four weeks before her passing, Kate graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University–Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Business, specializing in Marketing. She was also a proud member of the Alpha Xi Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha. Additionally, she delivered a beautiful commencement speech to her fellow graduates.

While undergoing rigorous chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Kate remained a full-time student, served as an intern at Arthrex St. Louis, worked as a Sales/Designer Intern at Initial Threads, and a professional shopper for the Johnson household.

Kate is survived by her parents, Patrick and Michelle Johnson; her older sister, Elizabeth "Elle" Johnson; and her triplet siblings, Anna and Patrick Johnson.

Kate leaves behind a legacy of positivity, love, resilience, passion, and unwavering dedication to those she loved—which was just about everyone she encountered. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her spunky personality, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel as though they had known her for years, even if they had just met her.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin, MO. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Ascension Catholic Church in Chesterfield, MO.
