Obituary

Kenneth Bryan Kiefer, a loving husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, passed away on June 13, 2026. Ken left behind a legacy of love, friendship, pride in workmanship and a deep appreciation for his family, fishing, hunting, snow skiing, golf and all things outdoors.

Ken was born on October 18, 1969 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on Fort Bragg Army Base. He grew up in Edwardsville, Illinois where he attended grade school through his sophomore year in high school. He moved with his family to Chesterfield, Missouri where he completed high school at the original Lafayette High School. He loved sports and played pee wee football, little league baseball and wrestled in high school.

Ken treasured his family and he and his son, Austin, were the very best of friends. Ken coached Austin's little league baseball teams starting with "TeeBall" until Austin joined the Eureka High School team. One of their special trips together was to Cooperstown, New York, where the baseball hall of fame is located. There, Austin played, and Ken coached Austin's team in a little league tournament. An avid fisherman and hunter, Ken taught Austin these skills and they spent much time together in these activities. Ken loved the outdoors and pursued this love through his fishing, hunting, snow skiing, and archery endeavors. He was also a skilled auto mechanic and carpenter practicing a "do it yourself" mentality inherited from his paternal grandfather, Tony Allaria.

Throughout his career, Ken held several sales positions, primarily in the commercial construction industry. He also served as field operations manager for a custom home builder in St. Louis County, Missouri. He later started his own home remodeling business, which he operated until his illness.

Ken is survived by his wife, Teresa, his son Austin, his parents Dennis and Diana, his brothers Stephen and Adam, nephews Ethan and Braxton and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He will be remembered for his big heart, gentle spirit, patience, passion for the outdoors and the love he had for his family and friends. He passed too young and he will be missed.
