Kevin Andrew
Waldrop
Mar 14, 1963 — Aug 25, 2025
St. Peters
Waldrop, Kevin Andrew, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, at the age of 62.
Kevin was born on March 14, 1963, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Donald Eugene and Shirley Jean Mills Waldrop. He was the oldest brother of Craig (Christine), Kent (Cheryl), Neil (Cindy) Waldrop, and Lisa (Dave) Mueller. Charismatic uncle of Nicholas, Alyssa, Kacey, Remington, Lauren, Cody, and Jacob. He was a beloved brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and loyal friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and infant brother, Ken.
Kevin was a 1981 graduate of South County Tech. He began his career as a civil engineer in St. Louis, briefly moved to southern California to pursue his dreams, then returned to St. Louis to work for Pickett, Ray, and Silver in St. Peters as a draftsman. Following that, he went into the transportation industry where he drove a variety of vehicles for various companies.
Kevin loved doing things with family and friends. Camping, attending concerts, playing games, throwing washers at BBQs, or going to car shows, racetracks, or flea markets. He also loved the serenity of his alone time, driving back roads looking for anything old, historical, unique, or bizarre. He was artistic and had a mechanical mind, especially when it came to wheels or motors.
Kevin never met a person that he didn't have the time to tell a story to. To say he had the "gift of gab" was an understatement. He made friends everywhere throughout his travels. Kevin was a very unique personality and would regularly push the limits during these explorations. He could make people lose their breath in laughter, drop their jaw in shock, or shake their head in disbelief. No matter what people told him, he lived his life and did things the "Kevin way" with few regrets.
Even though we can't help but laugh about those things, Kevin had a very big heart. About six years ago, a beagle chased his truck down a small rural road. After stopping and learning the dog was abandoned, he brought him home and named him "Chase". Kevin and Chase were soon inseparable and spent the last six years doing almost everything together. Kevin was always happy to help people out. He always looked out for the little guy, the underdog, and those he felt were treated unfairly. He would give or do almost anything for anyone at any time, without hesitation. Anyone that has ever met him will surely never forget him. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be planned at a future date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Mercy DeGreeff Hospice House or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation .
