Kory Jacob Hendrickson was born in Aurora, Colorado, on November 1, 1993, to loving and proud parents Dean and Tohni Hendrickson, and older sister Alexis. Their family moved to the St. Louis area in 1999. There, he attended Woerther Elementary, Selvidge Middle School, and graduated from Marquette High School in 2012. Kory went on to study Business at the University of Missouri, graduating in 2016. He then completed his impressive academic career, earning his Masters of Business Administration from St. Louis University in 2021. Kory was bright, determined, and hard-working in all that he pursued, and deeply loved by those closest to him.

Over the years, Kory loved to travel the world and seek new adventures. He inherited that love of exploration from his Dad. They also shared priceless hours together enjoying hockey, golf, and supporting their favorite teams as dedicated fans. From his mom came Kory's compassionate and tender heart. Always in tune to her, they shared a special and unbreakable bond. Kory's relationship with Alexis growing up was playful and entertaining. She coined him a silly nickname and he was always willing to do anything for her. Kory thoughtfully and intentionally cared for his friends. He was tremendously loyal, generous, and always came up with amusing ways to make them laugh.

It was during his junior year of high school that Kory met his one and only love, Mackenzie Matteson. The two quickly became bonded as a couple that remained united for 15 years. Kory and Mackenzie were married September 27, 2019, on a magical night in Charleston, South Carolina. Loved ones gathered to celebrate the two with a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by family and friends dancing the night away. It was a highlight of both their lives. But beyond all their amazing experiences as a couple, their ordinary days of just being together were what they treasured most. They were undoubtedly best friends. Mackenzie knew and loved Kory so deeply.

The only thing that would prove to exceed the joy of their wedding was the birth of their precious son, Graham Robert Hendrickson. On December 5, 2022, their worlds forever changed when they welcomed him into their family. Just like Kory, Graham's gentle disposition is adoring, calm, and loving. Kory was an incredibly affectionate, engaged, and devoted father. The time they spent together was meaningful and will be infinitely cherished. He loved Graham immensely, and Graham will forever love his Dada.

Kory's life tragically ended far too soon on January 12, 2026, at the young age of 32. He is survived by his wife Mackenzie Hendrickson, son Graham Hendrickson, parents Dean and Tohni Hendrickson, sister Alexis Hendrickson, grandparents Gary and Leah Hendrickson, in-laws Robert and Janet Matteson, and a multitude of extended family members. Kory is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Beverly Moran. He will be painfully missed by so many who loved him, for the rest of their days.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Schrader Funeral Home located at 14960 Manchester Road, Ballwin, Missouri 63011.

The immediate family will hold a private funeral the following day.
