Lara Schubert
(Nee Hawley)
Jan 29, 1980 — Feb 4, 2026
Ballwin
Schubert, Lara (nee Hawley), went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Beloved wife of Kurtis Schubert; devoted mother of Abigail and Paige; cherished daughter of Patti Hawley and Timothy (Christy) Hawley; loving sister of Lynn (Peter) Fogarty; dear aunt of Samuel and Clara Fogarty; dear niece, cousin, and friend to many.
Born in 1980, Lara was a people-person from day one. She had an extraordinary ability to make others feel seen, known, and welcomed. She was always helping, always opening her heart and her home, and always creating space for people to belong.
Lara was an incredible wife to Kurtis and a devoted mom to her beloved daughters, Abby and Paige, who were the greatest joys of her life. Everything she did was rooted in her love for her family, and her girls were the center of her world. She fiercely loved them, fiercely protected them, championing them with strength, wisdom, and unwavering devotion.
Lara was the most loyal daughter, sister, and friend. She stood by people no matter what, through joy, hardship, and heartbreak. When times were difficult, she loved deeply, showing up with compassion, presence, and her faith. Her loyalty was rare and unwavering, and those who knew her were profoundly changed by it.
She had the gift of hospitality and a deep love for beauty. Her heart and her home reflected that gift; warm, inviting, and filled with care. People felt safe with Lara. They felt at ease. They felt loved.
Lara loved Jesus deeply, and her faith inspired her to serve with authenticity and grace. She reflected Christ in the way she loved others especially in moments of suffering and need. Lara showed up. Even in her passing, Lara continues to serve and give life to others. As an organ donor, her generosity will bring hope and healing to many, a final and powerful reflection of the selfless way she lived her life.
Her life was defined by love. Love for her family, love for people, love for beauty, and love for her Savior. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
