Obituary

Lillian M. Edmiston (née Piel), asleep in Jesus on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Beloved wife of Daniel Edmiston. Loving mother of Matthew (Jessica) Edmiston and Jason (Shannon) Edmiston. Proud and devoted "Momo" to Ellie, Cole, Chase, Kendall, Parker, and Charley. Dear sister of Grace (Nelson) Devenport and Jane (Larry) Edwards. Cherished sister-in-law of Sue (Denny) Rider and Rick (Cindy) Edmiston. Dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Marie Piel; her siblings, Christine (Harold) Schmidt and Elaine (Don) Baumbach; and her sister-in-law, Karen Crowell.

Lillian was born on November 26, 1947, in Valley Park, Missouri. She graduated as Salutatorian from Eureka High School, Class of 1965.

She met Dan during high school-she a cheerleader, he a football player. Though their paths briefly parted, they later reconnected and began a lifelong courtship. United by their Christian faith, love of family, sports, laughter, and even spirited discussions about politics, they fell deeply in love and were married on October 11, 1974.

Lillian and Dan were blessed with two sons, whom she loved dearly. She found joy in cooking, reading, playing Scrabble and other games, but most of all in spending quality time with her family. She was her grandchildren's number one fan, supporting them in sports and every aspect of their lives.

Lillian will be forever remembered for her caring heart, unwavering faith, devotion to her family, and selfless spirit.
