Obituary

Linda Ann Acree (née Rapp), baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

Linda was the beloved wife of Mark Acree for nearly 40 years. She was the loving mother of Mark Jr. (Lauren) Acree, Bryan (Caitlin) Acree, and Andrew (Lauren) Acree, and the cherished grandmother of Luke, Oliver, and Aspen, who brought her immeasurable joy.

She is also survived by her devoted father, David Rapp; her loving siblings, Denise (Jim) Luetkemeyer, Mary (John) Jaggie, John Rapp, and David Rapp Jr.; along with many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Theresa Josephine Rapp (née Garbo).

Born on May 23, 1959, at St. Mary's Hospital in Clayton, Missouri, Linda was raised in Maplewood.  Her family were parishioners of the Little Flower Church. She graduated from Maplewood High School with the Class of 1977, where she was honored as Prom Queen.

Linda met the love of her life, Mark, in 1984, and they were united in marriage on October 25, 1986, at Little Flower Parish. Together they built a home rooted in faith, love, and devotion to family, raising their family at Mary Queen of Peace Parish in Webster Groves, MO. Linda's greatest joy was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, whose lives were forever enriched by her gentle presence and unconditional love.

Throughout her life, Linda faithfully served others through her work. She worked with visually impaired students in the Special School District, spent eight years as a pharmacy technician, and dedicated 24 years caring for patients in the 3 West nursing division at St. Mary's Hospital. In every role, she was known for her compassion, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Outside of work, Linda loved camping with her family, where gatherings often included many relatives and lifelong memories around the campfire. She especially enjoyed traveling to Colorado and to the beautiful beaches of western Michigan, places that brought her peace and happiness.

Linda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, quiet strength, and steadfast faith. She lived her life with grace, putting the needs of others before her own and offering love freely to everyone she encountered. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion to family will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know and love her.

May she rest in the peace of Christ and rise in His eternal glory.
