Linda Jane Black (née Parisotto)

Linda Jane Black (née Parisotto), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of Christ, passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Linda was the beloved wife for 59 years of William Joseph Black and the loving mother of Gina Black, Jon (Jennifer) Black, and David (Jessica) Black. She was a proud and devoted grandmother of Frederick (Megan) Carver, Isabella Carver, Aidan Carver, Lucca Carver, Alyssa (Tyler) Alt, Olivia Black, and Mira Black. She was the dear sister of the late Donald Parisotto, the late Douglas Parisotto, and the late Henry Parisotto. She was also a cherished sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Special thanks go to her devoted cousin and dear friend, Ellen Parisotto, who stood by Linda’s side throughout her life’s journey. Her unwavering love, companionship, and support were a treasured gift.

Linda was born on December 3, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Henry and Angline Parisotto. On November 11, 1961, she was baptized in the Holy Spirit at Evangelical Full Gospel Assembly, marking the beginning of a lifelong devotion to her faith and to Christ.

Linda graduated from Southwest High School and went on to attend Washington University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business. She met the love of her life, William, as a teenager through the youth group at Evangelical Full Gospel Assembly. Their friendship grew over the years into a lasting love, and they were married on April 1, 1967, beginning a lifelong journey together rooted in love, faith, commitment, and family.

Linda took pride in maintaining her health and physical fitness. She found joy in gardening, treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, and was an exceptional cook whose famous Thanksgiving stuffing became a beloved family tradition. She was also a gifted pianist, earning a first-place award at a piano recital early in her life. Her intelligence, organizational skills, and natural leadership made her an excellent project manager.

Above all, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family first. Her love was reflected not only in the care she gave her children and grandchildren, but also in the extraordinary devotion she showed her husband throughout their life together. During the times William underwent ongoing medical treatments and surgeries, Linda was a steadfast and compassionate caregiver, supporting him with patience, strength, and unwavering love. She stood by his side through difficult and uncertain times, demonstrating the depth of her commitment to their marriage and the true meaning of love in sickness and in health.

Linda’s love was expressed in countless ways: through the care she gave, the traditions she created, the meals she prepared, and the comfort and reassurance she offered those she loved. Her strength, intellect, and selflessness were defining qualities that touched the lives of everyone around her.

Linda’s faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her through every season and shaping the love and devotion she shared with others. She will be remembered for her steadfast faith in Christ, her remarkable strength, her sharp mind, her generous heart, and her deep commitment to her family.

Though she will be profoundly missed, Linda’s legacy lives on in the family she loved so dearly, the memories they hold close, the traditions they will continue, and the faith she lived and shared. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and faith, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
