Macaulay Seymour
Feld
Apr 17, 1939 — Sep 7, 2026
St. Peters
Macaulay Seymour Feld, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026.
Beloved husband of the late Courtney J. Feld (nee Heiberger). Mac was born in Quincy, Illinois, to Macaulay and Ruth Feld and was raised alongside his sisters, Sandy and Judy. He graduated from Palmyra High School and later earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri.
Mac was the beloved father of William Feld and wife, Julie, and Carolyn Wells and husband, Oscar. He was a proud grandfather of Benjamin Feld, Nathan Feld and wife, Emily, Jacob Feld and wife, Steffeny, Samuel Feld and fiancée Rachael and Jessica (nee Perez) Briggs; and a great-grandfather of Brooklynn, Bryson, Braydon, Makenna, Felix, Dominic, and Jackson.
Mac was a man who enjoyed figuring things out and fixing whatever needed fixing. He could often be found tinkering in his garage, where over the years he worked on and repaired hundreds of cars. His mechanical ability, curiosity, and willingness to lend a hand were simply part of who he was.
Mac was a devoted member of St. John and St. Paul Lutheran Churches. He and Courtney also shared a love of travel and were fortunate to visit all fifty states. Along the way, they made friendships, memories and experiences that will always be remembered.
Mac was a man of few words, but when he spoke, you listened. He had a straightforward nature and a quiet way about him, but those who knew him well understood the depth of his loyalty. If you were fortunate enough to become Mac's friend, you were a friend for life.
Mac will be remembered for his practical nature, his mechanical talents, his loyalty to family and friends, his faith, and the many lives he touched simply by being himself.
