Margaret C.
Reith (Nee Mahlow)
Jul 10, 1950 — Aug 16, 2025
Ballwin
Margaret (affectionately known as Margie "MarGee") was born in Landour, India on July 10, 1950 to William and Sarah Mahlow. She died peacefully at Evelyn's Hospice House after a long battle with multiple illnesses - beginning with polio as a young child and ending with congestive heart failure. She lived a full life despite many serious illnesses, surgeries, and rehabilitations until her body could fight no more.
She attended Covenant College and transferred to Columbia School of Nursing and also went on to receive a Masters Degree in Nursing at Rutgers. She spent her early working years working in the NICU and then had children of her own. After they were born, she changed gears to homeschooling and nursing research. During her children's college years she continued her medical editing and writing.
She is survived by Bob Reith, her most loving husband of 51 years who served her faithfully as her friend and, in latter years, caregiver. Together they spent most of their life in Prospect Park, NJ serving in a local Orthodox Presbyterian Church. In 2021 they moved to Ballwin, Missouri to be closer to family.
Additionally, Margie is survived by her adoring children - Evelyn of Ballwin, Missouri and Andrew of Corning, New York. She is also survived by Paul and Sarah (eldest sister) Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia; William (eldest brother) and Mary Lou Mahlow (Wilmington, NC) and Paul and Elizabeth (youngest sister) Meiners of Chattanooga, TN. She is also well-loved by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her older sister and brother in law Louise and Sam Larsen and younger brother Joseph Mahlow.
Margie's faith in our Lord Jesus Christ has never wavered during her lifelong journey and she has used her physical limitations to only encourage and point others to Her Lord.
