Obituary

Margaret was a devoted member of Living Word Methodist Church
and a woman of strong and faithful spirit. She found great joy in
serving others and faithfully volunteered as a Sunday greeter,
welcoming all with her warm smile and kind heart. Her dedication to
her faith was also evident through her commitment to Bible study and
her love of fellowship within the Church.

Margaret was also a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Vernon,
with whom she shared 51 wonderful years of marriage, building a life
centered around faith, family, and unconditional love.
She faithfully served her community as a Home Economics teacher in
the Rockwood School District for nearly 30 years. She was passionate
about teaching life skills, nurturing creativity, and supporting her
students both in and out of the classroom. Her impact as an educator
left a lasting impression on countless young lives.
She also generously gave her time volunteering at Agape House,
where her compassion and servant's heart touched many lives.
Outside of her service to others, she found happiness tending to her
garden and caring for her beautiful flowers, which brought her great
peace and joy.

Above all else, Margaret deeply loved her family and caring for those
around her. She was happiest when everyone was together, especially
gathered around the table for her beloved Sunday lunches. Those
meals were more than just food - they were her way of keeping the
family close, sharing stories, laughter, and love. She also found great
purpose in preparing and delivering meals to friends, neighbors, and
anyone in need, always offering comfort through her kindness and
home-cooked meals. Margaret was affectionately known as a loving
"food pusher," always encouraging second helpings and making sure
every plate was full, as she believed feeding others was one of the
purest ways to show love.

Margaret especially treasured time spent with her nieces and
nephews, creating special memories during their cherished lunch
gatherings at Olive Garden and The Blue Owl Restaurant where
laughter and togetherness were always plentiful.
She took great pride in her children, Mark; Bob (Denise); Lynn (Kevin);
and Scott (Melinda). She also cherished her grandchildren, Mark Jr,
Dane (Erika), Laura, Ross (Kate), Grace, and Anna, celebrating their
accomplishments, supporting them through challenges, and reminding
them often how deeply they were loved. Her grandchildren held a very
special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with
them.

She would have celebrated her 90th birthday on March 14, and while
she is deeply missed, her legacy of faith, love, service, and family
devotion will continue to live on in all who knew her. She will be greatly
missed and will forever remain in our hearts by all who knew and loved
her.
