Mary Jo Walsh (nee Lay), 89, of Ballwin, Missouri, went to be with her Heavenly Father with her family by her bedside, Friday, February 13, 2026.

Beloved wife of Richard "Dick" Walsh (deceased) for 64 years; devoted mother of Kevin (Dee Dee) and David (Pam); cherished grandmother of Katie (Matt) LaPointe and Scott (Melissa) Walsh; adored great-grandmother of Ellie, Emma and David; dear aunt, cousin, godmother and friend to many.

Mary Jo was born to James Roy and Marie (McCall) Lay in St. Louis. Her parents, three brothers and two sisters all preceded her in death. She was a 1955 graduate of DeAndreis High School where she met her future husband, Dick. They married on May 25, 1958, and had two sons, Kevin and David.

Mary Jo was involved with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.). Later in life, she used her talents to become an interior designer. But the bulk of her time was devoted to being a homemaker and a loving grandmother. She was dedicated to the charity work of the Catholic Church.

Services:   Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Friday, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. then to St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, Ellisville for 11:30 a.m. Mass.
