Obituary

Boehmer, Jr., Maurice A., baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Beloved husband of Genny L. Boehmer (nee Dodge); dear father of Kristi (Rick) Metter, Alyssa Boehmer and Tim Boehmer; loving grandfather of Richard Metter, Nicole Metter and Jordan Boehmer; our dear mentor and friend to many.

Maury was a man whose life was grounded in his faith, devoted love for his family, and genuine friendship with all who knew him. His faith was the foundation of everything he did, guiding him with compassion and integrity. He lived his beliefs through kindness, generosity, and the example he set for others.

Above all else, Maury cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and treasured friend. Some of his greatest joys came from coaching his children and grandchildren, not only teaching them the skills of the game but also the values of perseverance, teamwork, humility, and character. Whether on the field, in the stands, or celebrating life's victories and learning from its challenges, he was always their biggest supporter.

Family vacations were among his happiest moments. He loved bringing everyone together, creating traditions, sharing laughter, and making memories that will be treasured forever. To him, the destination was never as important as the journey getting there.

Friends knew Maury as someone they could always count on-a loyal, caring, and dependable presence. His warm smile, great sense of humor, encouraging words, and generous spirit touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Professionally, Maury had a successful career as an electrical engineer. He was respected for his intelligence, integrity, and thoughtful approach to solving complex problems. His engineering career reflected both his analytical mind and his commitment to excellence.

Never content to stop learning, Maury later earned two Master's degrees in theology, combining his intellectual curiosity with his enduring faith. He went on to serve as an adjunct professor at Maryville University, where he enjoyed teaching, mentoring students, and encouraging others to think deeply about both faith and life. His classroom reflected his passion for education, thoughtful discussion, and inspiring others to continue learning. He was a member of the Mankind Project and greatly valued the relationships with the men that he met there - he considered them his brothers and dear friends.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the faith he shared, the family he cherished, the students he inspired, the athletes he encouraged, and the countless lives he touched with his compassion, laughter, and unwavering love.
